Biopolis Dresden Imaging Platform

B CUBE - Molecular Imaging and Manipulation Facility

The Molecular Imaging and Manipulation facility (MIM) at B CUBE provides high-end imaging and manipulation devices as well as services with a special focus on single-molecule measurements. In terms of imaging, this comprises atomic force microscopy (AFM) as well as optical imaging with single-molecule localization-based superresolution. Single-molecule techniques like single-particle tracking (SPT) and Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) are offered along with the necessary analysis tools. Molecular manipulation is currently achieved by force application with the AFM.
Apart from user training and technical support the MIM offers measurement service, image-analysis support, as well as customized optical-microscopy design.
