January 14-22, 2014: Demo Andor spinning disk system with CSU-X1 and CSU-W1

We will have a latest-generation spinning disk demo system from Andor in the MPI-CBG. Built around a Nikon TiE stand it will feature two Yokogawa spinning disk scan heads (X1 and W1), each equipped with two cameras (iXon Ultra EMCCD and Neo CMOS).

The Details:

Stand: Nikon TiE with motorized xy-stage and z-piezo (200µm travel range)

Objective lenses: 10x and 20x air, 40x and 60x water, 40x and 100x oil, and 60x oil TIRF (however, not sure so far if system will be equipped with TIRF illuminator)

Laser lines: 405, 445, 488, 514, 561, 640nm

Spinning disk scan heads: (A) Yokogawa CSU-X1 (B) Yokogawa CSU-W1 (dual disk + bypass mode for widefield imaging)

FRAPPA unit for bleaching and photoactivation

Heating: Warner chamber
