BioDIP's History

The BioDIP has developed over a couple of years. Major steps were the foundation of the Imaging Facilities Network (IFN) in 2006 and later the foundation of the BioDIP in 2013 enabled by the DFG "Core facilities" funding.
Here you find the timeline containing minor and major milestones of BioDIPs development.

01May2018

Michael Gerlach joins the CFCI team at MTZ.

Michael has extensive experience in mouse intravital microscopy. He completed his PhD in the group of Stephan Speyer at the PLI in Dresden. Afterwards he joined the group of Prof. Christian Hugo at the university's hospital Carl Gustav Carus.

Michael will support the intravital microscopy service (Leica SP8) of the CFCI.

Visit BioDIP as guest scientist!

We launched a short term project that enables scientist to vistit BioDIP and use the offered imaging infrastructure and services.

Luis Rodriguez joins the Imaging Platform at DZNE.

Luis Alberto Rodrigues Cabrera will support the facility as clearing specialist. He used to be a member of the LMF CMCB where he gained lots of experience and expertise in clearing various organs and tissues and even whole animals. He's an expert with the Ultramicroscope.

Laure Plantard joins the LMF at MPI-CBG.

Laure Plantard moved from Kopenhagen (DK) to Dresden and will support the facility as imaging specialist.
