Typically BioDIP facilities do not conduct research projects by themselves however their support, e.g. by providing imaging infrastructure is often essential for publishing scientific work. References are therefore really important as they are one mean to prove the impact of the facilities.
Since the initial cooperation of BioDIP facilities in 2008, all published scientific work employing BioDIP equipment and service has been recorded. Currently, the record comprises more than 500 published articles in the scientific fields of cell biology, developmental biology, medical biology, neurobiology, biophysics, imaging technology development and image processing. As you may see, a facility network such as the BioDIP can be highly beneficial when it comes to publishing:
Published scientific work employing BioDIP equipment. About a quarter of the current collection (542 articles) presents scientific work employing more than one BioDIP facility.
