Scientific Computing Facility (SCF): Bio-Image Analysis

Max Planck Institute of Molecular Genetics and Cell Biology

The Scientific Computing Facility supports in four areas related to the analysis, organisation and reporting of research data generated by the scientific groups of the MPI-CBG:

- Bioinformatics data analysis

- Bio-image analysis

- Scientific software development

- Research data management & electronic lab notebook support

As part of this, the Bio-Image Analysis team supports with the extraction of quantitative information from biological structures by providing state-of-the art image analysis solutions. We utilise both traditional and machine learning approaches to analyse image data of different types (2D,3D + time) and sources (light microscopy, electron microscopy).
